Der Tisch

Social Design Projects around the topic of eating as a ritual and metaphor for identity through methods of Co-Design.

Eating at the "table" means: consciously and playfully engaging with food from one's own region and learning to appreciate it. Rituals help us to feel included. They give structure, create meaning and community, and make the familiar appear to us in a different light. With the "table" we create rituals to make people aware of the economic, cultural and social resources of their surroundings.

The "table" originated as a regionally specific project for Lusatia and after this has been transferred to new contexts to create community and awareness.

In cooperation with Greenlab at weißensee academy of art berlin, Projekt Laurin and Institution Barbara Keller Zürich.

Der Tisch

Eating at the "table" means: consciously and playfully engaging with food from one's own region and learning to appreciate it. From this, a positive attitude towards our homeland can develop. We support this through ritualized hand movements at the "table". Rituals help us to feel included. They give structure, create meaning and community, and make the familiar appear to us in a different light. With the "table" we create rituals to make people aware of the economic, cultural and social resources of their surroundings.

The project was developed within Greenlab at weißensee kunsthochschule berlin together with Sandra Stark, Linda Lezius and Carlotta Cramer-Klett.

Barbara

Between 2016 - 2019 several workshops were held at Institution Barbara Keller, a facility for people with disabilities, to develop a palette of products through co-design methodologies and also initiate a stronger coherence between employees, management, and the clients (people with disabilities from different departments like training and workshop) and create the feeling of a community.

The project was commissioned by Institution Barbara Keller Zürich.

In cooperation with Sandra Stark and Linda Lezius.
